new carvers just for you!!! and others too of course :)

hello folks, if your a new carver the most important thing that you need to learn other than owning a carving glove and a thumb guard ( both are a must) is how to control your knife, i have a video on youtube teaches you the correct way to cut the wood with a knife. its a safe way and it will help you control where the knife goes, please take a look at it, and i am sure if you will get the hang of it. the glove protect from slicing but not for stabs from your knife, so please look at it , and then if you want to venture into a project i have a beginners ( wooden shoe ) that was made with the new carver in mind, so have fun, be safe and enjoy this wonderful craft of woodcarving you can find the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQbMyXdDnw8
