ALERT NEW ABOUT DOCKYARD,, NO LONGER AVAILABLE
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL CARVERS,,,, i just received a call that dockyard is closing,, i will not be selling any dockyards as of today,, until another supplier of mico tools can be found, which is unlikely,, as a carver and on a personal note,, these tools were great,, i feel they were a great asset to the beginner as well as the advance carvers,,, i keep you posted of any changes ,, arleen

carverswoodshop sharpening system
hi folks ,, as most of you know many folks will have their own way of sharpening knives i found a way that is inexpensive and simple to use,, and like most bigger systems can cost hundreds of dollars,, if your like me you know that many of us have tried all kinds of systems, that work great for a while till we find something always better,,,, so here is my story
i wanted to make a system of my own,, i came up with a neat little sharpener that it portable and very easy to use,, it has a strop wheel and a buffer ,, i got the machine at harbor freight for around 30 bucks and i make the strop wheel,, and added a hard to find buffer to fit,, cost for strop wheel is 17.00 and 13.00 for the buffer ,, total is 30 and 5.50 to ship in the usa,, if interested please email me at carverswoodshop@yahoo.com

happy new year,, coming up classes and a new beginning 2015
happy new year folks,, as i continue to post on facebook,, i wanted to update you this post was done on facebook and the next couple of posts will be about classes .
As a new year begins .. and the last year is just a memory.. have to say I wasn't sad to see 2014 come to an end.. many of us said goodbye to those dear to us. In just our family we had my dad and my mothers sister and a close family friend that past. ,thinking what the new year will bring and hoping it will be a calmer time... but there were some good things too. Had some wonderful folks with me along the way.. last night as I for the first time saw the new year with just mom it hit home.. we don't know what this year will bring but one thing I am certain of I need not face it alone. My faith and my ultimate hope is in Christ alone. By him and only him can I face the future with great expectation. Keep carving. Arleen
