MAKING A STROP WITH CARDBOARD

  1. That was GREAT, Arleen!! I read, {& I think it was by Everett Elenwood}, where you can do likewise with the inside of a cereal box. So I guess you could use that, or anything like it. Microwave popcorn box, saltine box, etc, by gluing the labeled side to the wood. Thanks for the great tip! Whittlin' Will.

  3. Another idea with cardboard strops for gouges is to put compound on the same type of cardboard without attaching it to a piece of wood. Form the cardboard loaded with compound to the inside of your gouge and run the gouge on this a few times.
